

Mother Colony House

The small redwood frame residence of George Hansen, built in late 1857 or early 1858, was dedicated June 15, 1929 as OC's first historical museum. The landmark, served as Hansen's headquarters while he supervised development of the townsite for the Los Angeles Vineyard Society. The museum has furnishings and mementos of pioneer Anaheim families. The house is California Historical Landmark #201 and stands next to historic Red Cross House.
