A marker designates the former creamery location, now Orange County HistoricCommission site #7. In 1889, when J.M. Pitblado erected a condensed-milk fa ctory here, Buena Park was known as a dairy farming community. Later CharlesF. Bixby purchased the property and with Jotham Bixby formed the Pacific Cr eamery Company, the first evaporated-milk cannery in California. Their 'LilyCalifornia Sterilized Cream' won many gold medals in inter. competitions.
