Brea Receives Grant for | |
The Brea Family Services program has been
awarded a $22,500 grant from the Sisters of St. Joseph Healthcare
Foundation. The grant was awarded to Brea, in part, because the program
is a collaborative effort by the Brea Community Services Department and
several local non-profit agencies. With these funds, the Family
Services program will move to the new Community Center this summer.
Several new services will be added and existing services for families
will be expanded. New Programs Counseling services for families and youth by Straight Talk Inc., a non-profit agency serving Orange County over 20 years. Fees set on a sliding scale based on the ability to pay. Parenting classes. Support group for teen parents. Youth Employment Service. Free service to help teens and young adults find employment, develop job readiness skills and learn interview techniques. |
