

60% of deaths due to heart attack occur outside of the hospital. If CPR is begun before paramedics arrive, survival increases from 8% to 40%. This course is designed for the non-medical person and will cover warning signs of heart attack, prudent heart living, CPR techniques for adults and children and first aid for choking children. Participants successfully completing the course will receive certification by the American Heart Association. Ages: 16+.
