The farmhouse was moved to its present site by Matthew Helme in 1902. Nearbyat 515 Walnut Ave, is the rare western false-front commercial building, cir ca 1904. This building was constructed by Helme, a furniture-store owner andearly member of the Huntington Beach Board of Trustees. Both structures are undergoing restoration and are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
