Volunteer Coaches Needed!

Adults who are interested in the well-being and development or Santa Ana youngster are needed to coach the many youth sports temas playing throughout the city. It doesn't matter if you haven't any experience. If you have a few hours of time each week to offer the youth of our city, please contact the Sports Office at 571-4254 for a volunteer application. We'll appreciate the help, the youngster will benefit greatly, and we're sure you'll enjoy the opportunity.








Youth Sports

The City of Santa Ana, Recreation and Community Services Agency's Golden City Youth Sports Program offers plenty of excitement for all children! The activities stree fun, participation and learning of fundamentals through competitive sports. We have special "Mighty Mite" leagues for younger children where the emphasis is on fun and a positive first experience! No scores are kept in the Mighty Mite leagues. In our program, children learn about sportsmanship, teamwork and self-discipline. Any boy or girl who meets the age requirement can play. For further information, contact the Sports Office at 571-4254 or your nearest recreation center.





Sports in the Streets

This program will be offering youth sports clinics seasonally throughout the year. The sports offered include basketball, ultimate football, soccer, street hockey, softball, baseball, flag football, and volleyball. All are free of charge and volunteers are needed.

  • Introduction of music appreciation
  • Introduction of drama appreciation
  • Helping children with their homework
  • Motivation and instilling skills of self-value


4-8 Hours a Week Time Commitment is flexible


Interact with children and teach them the value of playing and having fun.
