High School Boys.Join us for the first NIKE Volleyball Camp.The director of the camp will be Head UC Irvine's Men's Coach, Charlie Brande. Coach Brande has been the head coach of the highly successful Balboa Bay volleyball Club for over 20 years as well as at the Orange County Volleyball Club (girls).These two clubs have won more national championships than any other volleyball club. He has coached both boys and girls at the high school level, winning many section and state championships. His college coaching experience has included the University of Hawaii and at UCLA. A speaker at many volleyball coaches' clinics, he has a great desire to teach not only the skills of the game, but also the love of sport.UCI is located 5 miles from the Pacific Ocean and nestled in the coastal foothills near Newport Beach.Campers will stay on the campus in comfortable dorms.2 to a room, and eat in the dining halls with a wide variety of food choices. Campers will train in the UCI volleyball facility.Crawford Hall and play a portion of the time on the outdoor, grass courts."The goal of the NIKE Boys' Volleyball Camp is to provide each camper with an exciting yet educational weekend of volleyball which will include various types of competition coupled with intensive skill training. Throughout the weekend, players will be involved with a skill level that is comparable to their own yet challenging enough to provide improvement."Session I - Boys only!Ages: 14-17.
