The Bowl, Orange County Historical Commission site #17, is located on land donated in 1941 by the late James Irvine II, pioneer California rancher and patron of the arts. Each year during July and August, the Bowl is the scene of the art colony's internationally famed Festival of the Arts and Pageant ofthe Masters.
