Damage: One-fourth of the
concrete pilings damaged, with reinforcement steel exposed. Many of the
pile caps, which sit on top of the pilings and support the pier's deck,
are also severely damaged.
Cost: Pilings will cost about
$1,000 each to replace, scheduled to be fixed before summer.
