The regional trail is the park's most heavily used route, dominated by grassland meadows, clumps of elderberry and other assorted shrubs. The trail becomes wooded with native vegetation and trees. Rock outcropping along the canyon's ridges with rich vegetation and oak trees provide a picturesque setting. Trail boasts the largest sycamore trees, dense canopies of oak trees a close-up view of rich chaparral and riparian plants and wood creek.
