This trail winds through grasslands dotted with large tree-sized Elderberry shrubs, crosses Mathis Creek and then enters a dense Oak Woodland carpeted with wild blackberry and poison oak vines. Leaving the park property, the trail continues up the narrow canyon of the City of Laguna Beach's open space. The trail offers a variety of scenic areas and native plants along it's route.
