This mostly shaded trail within the park winds through large canopies of Coast Live Oak trees and follows Wood Creek's entire length. The shaded oak woodland habitat features a rich understory of chaparral shrubs and vines including much poison oak. The trail provides an excellent quiet area for nature explor- ation and guided nature tours. Wood Creek flows for most of the yearin this section. Sound of creek adds to the trail's nature experience.
