Events and places where you can have a good time are arranged by city and county sections. Once you narrow your search to a city or county section, then you can search by keywords such as aerobics, trails, preschoolers, etc. You can select the city or county section you wish from lists or a map. You can read about smart strategies to find the recreational information you need in our general help section, but here you will get help on selecting the city or county section you wish from the main Orange County map.
To select a city, move your cursor over the name of the city you wish with your mouse. Imagine a box or rectangle formed by the words for the city. Your cursor must be within this imaginary box, not just over an area on the map where the city is located. A left button click will then select the city you wish.
To select a section of the county, you must move your cursor over the words for the section you want, such as 'North County'. As with a city, you must be within the imaginary box formed by the words. A common mistake is to click on an area between city names hoping that might select that section of the county - click on the section name itself.
To select the entire county (because you're looking for some peculiar recreational activity and are willing to drive anywhere in the county), move your cursor over the words 'All of Orange County' which you'll find just outside the map at the top and at the bottom. Don't forget to read the general help about how to tune your search before you search the entire county.
If your town or community is not on our map but it is in Orange County, we probably include it in another city. Here is a list of such 'lost' towns and where to find them. If you are not on the list, let us know:
