The trail is multi-use with mountain bikers permitted in the northern (uphill) direction only. The trail follows the bottom of canyon crossing Borrego Creek at three locations, one with a bridge. The trail meanders through beautiful oak woodlands, riparian and coastal sage scrub plant communities which support a variety of wildlife. The trail provides access to many park trailsand serves as the beginning of a popular 5 mile 'loop' trail.
