Day hikers will enjoy the southern route to Fisherman's Camp. From that point the trail follows the creek through oak and sycamore, a multitude of wildflowers in springtime, tumbles of granite boulders, and panoramic views of San Mateo Canyon. Because there is such an abundance of shade, this trail is an excellent summer hike. However, don't miss it in full bloom in spring! Always carry a good supply of drinking water.
