Responsibilities of a Skipper

Marine Programs Director and "Alaska Eagle" skipper, Brad Avery will cover topics all skippers should know. This course is for the recreational boat owner taking out friends, bareboat charterers, and professional skippers. More than simple legal responsibilities, you will learn what makes a good skipper and how to become one. You will learn how to choose a crew, what skills are most important, how to handle conflicting personality traits, and how to get things done your way. Day trips and longer off shore passage making will be included.
