

Ainsworth Historical House

The pioneer Lewis Ainsworth family came to Orange in 1901. As a lumber merchant and banker, Ainsworth was a major figure in the growth of the town. He built this dwelling in 1910, and the family retained ownership of the property until the city purchased it in 1976. The historical home has been restoredto reflect the styles of the early 1900s. The house is on the National Regi ster of Historical Places.
