Dr. Willella Waffle treated patients at the turn of the century in this Queen Anne-style two-story home built in 1889 by her first husband, Dr Alvin J. Howe, Santa Ana's second mayor. So popular was the homeopathic physician that she often traveled by horse and buggy over a wide area of Orange County tocare for her patients. The house, listed on the National Register of Histor ical Places, features a small medical museum.
