

Spurgeon Building

Four-story Spurgeon Building, topped by a neoclassic Swiss clock tower, has been a landmark in downtown Santa Ana since 1913. The third building built by William Spurgeon, the founder of Santa Ana, to occupy this site. The firstwas erected by Spurgeon in 1875, and the second, constructed less than 10 years later, included an opera house on the second floor. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
