

Forster Mansion

This two-story Mission Revival-style residence was built by Frank A. Forster, the grandson of John and Ysidora Forster, who owned and resided in MissionSan Juan Capistrano from 1845 to 1864. The mansion was designed by Train an d Williams, a prominent L.A. architectural firm. For years the mansion was the social hub of the Capistrano Valley, and today, following extensive restoration in 1984, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
