San Juan Capistrano Historic District

A variety of structures--Victorian-era houses, adobes and wooden cottages--blend to make the area a cross section of San Juan's heritage. Since the district is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, a city ordinance forbids the removal, demolition or renovation of any structure within the district without special approval.
