Access to the trail is provided from the west and east sides of the parking lot at the parking/staging area on Canyon View Ave. The trail loops the 55 acre Peters Canyon Lake following moderate terrain, meandering through grasslands, coastal sage and willow woodlands. Excellant views of the lake and waterfowl. Moutain bicycles are prohibited on the .2 mile willow woodland section, but they may traverse along Jamboree Rd and Canyon View Ave.
