Follows park's east ridge. Challenging terrain. Scenic views in all directions. See Newport Beach on a clear day. Commences at the lone pine tree near Peters Canyon Lake Dam (north end) and climbs quickly at 30% grade to 700 feet, ascending and descending later between 400 feet and 600 feet. At south end, changes from a width 12 feet to 3 and descends through euclayptus trees to Lower Canyon Trail, providing a loop opportunity.
