Richard Milhous Nixon, 37th President of the United States (1969-1974), was born in this modest wood frame house on January 9, 1913. Nixon completed thefourth grade in Yorba Linda before the family moved to Whittier in 1922. Th e house is on the National Register of Historic Places. It stands adjacent to the site selected as the future home of the Nixon Library.
